Rope-access technology is perhaps better known as industrial climbing. It is a method that gives technical personnel a more rapid access to places that are hard to reach, in order that they may perform their work.
Rescue and evacuation systems
Such systems are currently being used as part of companies emergency preparedness for work operations in tanks and at height. For operations at industrial facilities and plants, customers often require such systems to be available and operative. We develop such systems with basis in customer requirements. We perform the necessary training and check of equipment after use or other intervals.
The methods being used within rope-access technology are taken from conventional mountain climbing and speleologi (cave climbing). The methods have then been developed to satisfy laws and regulations that apply to onshore and offshore based industry. After presentation on the market, the demand for rope-access technology has increased significantly in recent years. Rope-access technology may today be used by all disciplines and trades. All kinds of jobs at height and in places difficult to access can be performed by means of rope-access technology.
Next to being a safe and efficient work method it is also cost saving. On some projects costs have been reduced by as much as 80% compared to other methods, such as scaffolding, lifts etc.
The majority of companies are trying to reduce costs as much as possible. Many companies therefore see the advantage of using rope-access technology.
At the same time as cutting costs, safety and quality are ensured. According to international statistics there have been no serious injuries leading to lost time injury after 3.5 million working hours performed.

Rock protection and bolting against avalanche, and surveys of relevant areas.
